Budget 2026: Strategic Orientations Approved

The Board of Directors of the University of Yaounde I held its ordinary session on Monday, December 15, 2025, dedicated to examining the draft budget for the 2026 financial year. The meeting took place in the Conference Hall of the Rectorate, under the chairmanship of Professor Maurice Tchuente, Chairman of the Board (PCA). The Rector, Professor Rémy Magloire Etoua, presented the proceedings.

In addition, key issues relating to the academic and administrative governance of the Institution were discussed. Members examined and adopted the University’s annual performance plan, together with the budget request for the 2026 fiscal year.

Several structuring decisions were also taken, including:

The recommendation of a gradual transition toward the digitalization of diplomas, along with the adoption of a penalty for late collection;

The suspension activities the Polytech-VALOR Center and the CAD CENTER;

The endorsement of the establishment of a campus of the National Advanced School of Engineering of Yaounde (ENSPY) in Ilanga, near Eséka.

The Board also validated the resolutions of the ENSPY Management Council of November 28, 2025, and endorsed those of the University Council of December 3, 2025.

The proceedings were marked by a spirit of collegiality and commitment, reflecting the shared determination to sustainably guide the University’s actions.

The publication of the Board’s resolutions will take place upon completion of the ongoing administrative formalities.
