PRESS RELEASE

The Head of the Department of History informs students duly enrolled in the Master 2 program that a scientific seminar will be organized on the following theme:

“Fieldwork as a Scientific Construction: Between Research Object, Method, and Researcher’s Stance.”

The seminar will be conducted by Dr. Joseph Lasky, postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University, and will take place from January 26 to 27, 2026, as part of the course entitled “Scientific Information Research.”

The seminar proceedings will be structured around two main axes:

  • Introduction to the use of the Survey to Go software;

  • In-depth reflection and discussion on the relationship between the respondent’s identity and the answers they provide to research questions.

This scientific activity is an integral part of the methodological and scientific training for Master’s students. Consequently, attendance is mandatory for all concerned students, given the significant academic and pedagogical value of this seminar in strengthening and deepening university research.
