Review and Outlook on the University Council Agenda

The University of Yaounde I held an ordinary session of its Senate meeting this Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in the Conference Hall of the Rectorate, under the chairmanship of Prof. Remy Magloire Etoua, Rector of the Institution.

The proceedings began after verification of quorum, with the presence of statutory members. Several items were examined, including: the current academic year’s performance review, validation of results, and graduation. Issues related to vocational training, Income‑Generating Activities (IGAs), and the career advancement of teaching staff were also discussed.

Major resolutions are expected regarding the standardization of procedures for handling Master 2 thesis defenses within the Doctoral Schools. Closing the session, the chair, Prof. Remy Magloire Etoua, commended the quality of discussions and the rigor of contributions.
