THE RECTOR INSTALLS NEW OFFICIALS
The installation ceremony of the newly appointed officials at the University of Yaounde I took place this Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in the Conference room of the Rectorate. It was presided over by the Rector, Professor Remy Magloire Etoua, in the presence of Minister Benoît Ndong Soumhet, Minister in charge of Mission at the Presidency of the Republic, the City Mayor of Yaounde, Luc Messi Atangana, former members of Government, and several high-ranking personalities.
These officials were appointed by decree of the Head of State, His Excellency Paul Biya, on August 11. They are:
-Prof. Matio Paki Rosine Magloire, epse Sale, installed as Secretary General;
-Prof. Ngah Essomba Helene Chantal, epse Foe Ndi, appointed Director of Academic Affairs and Cooperation;
-Prof. Kenmogne Emile, installed as Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Social Sciences;
-Prof. Meva’a Jean Raymond Lucien, appointed Director of the University Institute of Wood Technology, Mbalmayo.
After presenting the professional backgrounds and profiles of the appointees, the Rector of UYI expressed his gratitude to the outgoing officials: “I extend my deepest gratitude, as well as that of the university community, for your commitment and dedication during your tenure at the head of your respective structures.”
Addressing the newly installed officials, Rector Remy Magloire Etoua stated:
“I urge you to align your actions with the triptych: Train, Innovate, and Transform, in line with the high prescriptions of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya. Train to transmit with rigor, innovate to anticipate tomorrow’s challenges, and transform to adapt teaching to current changes, in order to achieve the set objectives.”
