International Day of University Sport
University–Enterprise in Debate on Campus
On Friday, September 19, 2025, the university community gathered at Restaurant No. 2 for a conference on the theme: “University Sport, a Vector for the Implementation of the University–Enterprise for a Prosperous Cameroon.”
The meeting, chaired by the Director ofstudents Affairs Office, Dr. Socrate Ntyama, was led by the Head of DASA of the University of Yaounde I, Euloge Noah, as the keynote speaker. The exchange served as a real opportunity to raise awareness of the benefits of sport, not only for health and personal fulfillment, but also for cohesion and the visibility of the entire university community. Stakeholders also discussed the development of sports infrastructure as a lever for the university economy.
In his address, the Director ofstudents Affairs Office recalled “the fundamental values conveyed by sport, emphasizing its strategic role in the university–enterprise concept and the multiple opportunities it opens up for students and institutions.”
The conference ended on a note of collective commitment, with the announcement of a major sports walk scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 7:30 a.m., starting from the Rectorate esplanade.
