Entrepreneurship Conference
The Inspiring Example of “Bôme François” at FSE-UYI
A highly insightful conference was held this Thursday at the 225 Amphitheater of the Faculty of Education (FSE) of the University of Yaounde I (UYI), under the theme: “Creation, Management, and Leadership of a Successful Cameroonian Enterprise: The Case of François Santé – Bôme François.”
Presided over by the Dean of FSE, Professor Bienvenue Cyrille Bela, the event brought together many students eager to draw inspiration from the journey of Mr. François Desire Ekouma Ananga, CEO of François Sante, better known as “Bome François.” The entrepreneur shared his experience and the key steps that led to the success of his company, producer of a 100% Cameroonian medicine currently distributed across all ten regions of the country and beyond, including in Europe and America.
In his remarks, Prof. Bela praised this initiative, which he said aligns “perfectly with the new Higher Education Orientation Law focused on strengthening the university–enterprise relationship.” He also assured students that such meetings would be organized more frequently throughout the academic year, in accordance with the directives of the Rector, Professor Remy Magloire Etoua, with the aim of fostering an entrepreneurial culture within the university community.
