19 trophies won across all disciplines: the University of Yaoundé I has literally dominated the 2025 Zonal Championships held at the University of Bertoua.
A memorable haul that falls in line with the sporting tradition of the Institution, propelling it as the strong favorite for the national finals scheduled in Ebolowa in 2026.
Supported by a united delegation, led in person by the Rector, with rigorous technical training and a fierce determination to raise the purple and white (the colors of the “mother of universities in Cameroon”), UYI confirms that it is both a bastion of knowledge and a breeding ground for sports talents.
The Rector, Pr Remy Magloire Etoua, praised “a collective victory, a reflection of engaged, disciplined, and ambitious youth,” who are already dreaming of yet another title in Ebolowa.
