Strong Ties between UYI and the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The 300 Amphitheatre of the University of Yaounde I was the venue this Tuesday, July 15, 2025, for a conference on academic exchange between the University of Yaounde I and the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. The discussions revolved around the theme: \u201cStudent Exchange Program between Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) and University of Yaounde I: Opportunities, Assessment and Perspectives.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The conference was chaired by the Vice-Rector in charge of Research and Cooperation, Prof. Edmond Biloa, representing the Rector, and attended by senior officials of the Embassy of Japan in Cameroon.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

During the ceremony, Professor Oishi Takanori delivered a presentation on a topic of relevance to the academic community. Two students also shared their personal exchange experiences with Japan.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

First, Mille Saeki Ayaka spoke on the theme \u201cMy Experience as a Student in Japan and Cameroon: Opportunities and Challenges of the Exchange Program,\u201d highlighting both the benefits and obstacles encountered during her stay in Cameroon.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Then, Verdiane Yemata shared insights on \u201cStudying in Japan for One Year: An Unforgettable Exchange Experience,\u201d offering her memories and reflections on her time abroad.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The representative of the Japanese Ambassador to Cameroon, Mr. Uehara, emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between both institutions.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The event opened with welcome remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Letters and Social Sciences (FALSH), Prof. Rodolphine Sylvie Wamba, and concluded with a hopeful message from Vice-Rector Prof. Edmond Biloa, who expressed his wish for stronger ties of sharing and fellowship between UYI and the Embassy of Japan in Cameroon.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
