THE ROHDE & SCHWARZ ELECTRICITY AND ELECTRONICS LABORATORY INAUGURATED AT THE NATIONAL ADVANCED SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING (ENSPY) YAOUND\u00c9<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On Friday, May 9, 2025, the Rector of the University of Yaounde I, Professor Remy Magloire ETOUA, officially inaugurated the new laboratory in the conference room of ENSPY, in the presence of Mr. KNUT ZUCHAM, representative of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Cameroon.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

This initiative, led by Serge PADJIP and Robert MAKON\u2014representatives of the German company ROHDE & SCHWARZ\u2014aims to significantly enhance the practical training of young engineers at ENSPY. The project is based on an Industry\/University partnership and will allow top students to undertake internships within the company in Germany.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The lab is equipped with 10 high-performance workstations, each comprising a stabilized DC power supply NHC804X, a stabilized DC power supply NGE1008, a digital multimeter NHC 8012, a random or arbitrary function generator HML2525, a spectrum analyzer FPC1500, a vector network analyzer, a pedagogical kit FPC710, software, cables, and a high-speed computer with 16 GHz processing power.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In his welcome speech, Professor Raoul Domingo AYISSI, Director of ENSPY, warmly thanked ROHDE & SCHWARZ, “which generously donated equipment valued at two hundred and twenty-four million CFA francs (224,000,000 FCFA)<\/strong>,” and emphasized that “this gesture aligns with a vision of knowledge sharing, elite training, and promotion of scientific excellence.”<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Professor EKAM, the project focal point, added that ENSPY will now ensure optimal visibility for this privileged sponsor, whose contribution crowns four decades of relentless effort.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In his inaugural address, Professor Remy Magloire ETOUA, Rector of the University of Yaounde I, declared: \u201cThis event marks a significant milestone in the history of ENSPY in particular, and of UYI in general.\u201d He further noted that this donation strengthens not only UYI\u2019s teaching infrastructure but also the cooperation ties between Germany and Cameroon in higher education and scientific research.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The assembly then moved to the laboratory for the symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony and a technical tour of the equipment offered by ROHDE & SCHWARZ, amid cheers and joyful shouts from students expressing their gratitude to the donor and the UYI top management.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
