UYI Refines Its Steps
The University of Yaounde I took part in the general rehearsal of the civilian parade held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, along the main axis of the Paul Biya Glass Palace. This activity was presided over by the Minister of Youth and Civic Education (MINJEC), Mounouna Foutsou, in the presence of several Government members and the Rector of UYI, Professor Remy Magloire Etoua.
Several rounds of practice were scheduled to perfect the marching steps of the students mobilized for the occasion. UYI stood out through the participation of its majorettes, its brass band, and two marching groups one male and one female.
Invited by MINJEC to give his feedback, Professor Etoua emphasized “the importance of respecting the patriotic chant and synchronizing movements.”
In his remarks, Minister Mounouna Foutsou made a few comments to the participants and urged the supervisors to continue rehearsals within the institutions to ensure a flawlessly executed parade.
The civil-military general rehearsal is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2025.
