May 20th, 2025 Parade, UYI ready for the D-Day

UYI ready for the D-Day
In preparation for the 53rd edition of the National Unity Day celebration, the University of Yaounde I took part this Saturday in the final rehearsal of the civil-military parade held at the May 20th Boulevard. It was an opportunity for students to fine-tune the final details before the big day.
Introduced by the INJS, the civil parade featured a remarkable performance by UYI. The university brass band, majorettes, and two marching blocs of male and female students paraded in perfect synchronization. All proudly wore white polo shirts bearing the university’s logo and name.
The Director of the Students Affairs Office, Dr. Socrate Ntyama, conveyed the instructions of the Rector, Professor Remy Magloire Etoua, urging participants to “maintain this discipline and seriousness on May 20th, in front of the Head of State.”
A few days before the event, UYI thus reaffirms its patriotic commitment and determination to promote the values of unity, peace, and citizenship.
