🚨 International Labour Day‼️ Gastronomic Fair at UYI

In the lead-up to the celebration of the 139th edition of International Labour Day, a gastronomic fair was held this Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the esplanade of Amphitheatre 300 of the University of Yaoundé I (UYI). The event took place in the presence of the Director of the Students Affairs Office , Dr. Socrate Ntyama, representing the Rector, Professor Rémy Magloire Etoua.
Dishes from all cultural backgrounds were served—okok, sanga, ndolé, njapché, and more—to the delight of UYI workers.
The fair was also livened up with musical interludes, gospel performances, and various artistic presentations.
In his welcome address, Coordinator Jean Jacques Mbida thanked his colleagues for their unwavering commitment since the start of the activities and expressed “his deep gratitude to the Rector of UYI for his steadfast support.”
For his part, Dr. Socrate Ntyama conveyed “words of encouragement from the Rector” and called on everyone to promote social dialogue and peaceful coexistence, so that UYI remains “a haven of performance and a laboratory for promoting decency at work.”
